Katherine Trofeo is a former Principal Dancer with Ballet Philippines, where she performed leading roles in classical and contemporary repertoire, including Giselle, The Sleeping Beauty, Don Quixote, Coppélia, and The Nutcracker. She also originated roles in notable works such as Carlo Pacis’ Shifting Wait, Titania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Alden Lugnasin’s Pusong Wagas and Bungangsakit. In 2017, she was appointed Associate Artistic Director of the company.

Following her performing career, Katherine transitioned into movement education and wellness. She holds a degree in Broadcast Communication from the University of the Philippines and is a fully certified instructor through Pilates Academy International, with training in Reformer, Cadillac, Advanced Mat, Pre- and Post-Natal Pilates, BOSU, Golden Pilates, and Cardiolates. She is also certified by the Australian Conservatoire of Ballet (Pre-Primary to Senior Level 1).

Since joining Elevate in 2019, Katherine has expanded her expertise as a licensed GYROTONIC® and Specialized GYROKINESIS® instructor, including Cardiovascular Breathing. She is part of the first cohort in Hong Kong certified in the updated GYROTONIC® Applications for Breast Cancer (2025), and has completed GYROTONIC® Level 2 Program 2 and Applications for the Wrapping System. A dedicated Raja Yoga meditation practitioner, she integrates mindful awareness into her teaching, viewing movement as a pathway to strength, balance, and inner harmony.
